Are all juicers the same? Which one is right for you?

If you are new to the juicing world, the first question you may ask, is can your high powered expensive blender work as a juicer. The short answer is no! You will need to buy a vegetable juicer. The good news is that there are many to choose from, at various price points. I've had a GreenStar juicer for about 5 years now, and I have to say that its one of the best investments I have ever made.
So what do you look for in a juicer? It will vary according to what you want to juice ultimately. How quick you would like the juicing process to be? How easy you would like cleanup to be? The easier it is to cleanup, the more you will juice. You don't need to add more work to your schedule - I know...
From my own experience, I love the GreenStar juicer. I can juice 2 pints of juice in about 20 mins - and that is from washing/preparing the vegetables, to juicing, to cleanup done. Now thats my kind of juicer!
I came across some links which would be helpful for anyone looking to buy a juicer:

Please add comments to this blog if you would recommend any particular juicer, and if you have any other websites or resources to recommend. We'd love to hear from you!

Thanks for the links to helping me find a juicer. I had a juicer that died last year and miss it dearly....
In the raw food world, the Green Star is the cadillac of juicers. I am in the process of saving for this baby. :)
